Van Eeckhoutte Ronny – Agility Judge – Belgium
My agility career began about 25 years ago with my first dog Quinta a labrador. Soon followed my 1st border collie Gizzy from whom I would later keep a son Fido. With both border collies I participated in several national and international tournaments including IMCA &PAWC and WAC. Currently I still have 4 dogs including 2 border collies Link and Fido, a Tervueren shepherd Mylo and a Belgian Malinois Lizzy.
I started judging competitions within the VOE since 2019. A year later, I also became a judge for Dogsport Agility Belgium. Since then I have judged several times the Belgian VOE championships, WAC selections in Belgium, IMCA & PAWC selections. Last year through Dogsport Agility Belgium I also got the opportunity to judge the WAO selections for Belgium together with Giuseppe Pinchetti. In 2023 I had the opportunity to judge the IMCA-PAWC in Hellendoorn (Netherlands) together with Ellen Overtoom and Paco Alegra.
Besides judging, I also give agility training twice a week. Here I try to challenge the players as much as possible so that they and their dog are ready for competitions.
It is a great honor for me to be invited as a judge for WAC 2024. I will do my best to put down fun, challenging courses and hope you will enjoy them. In my courses, I always create smooth lines where the dog’s safety is very important. Where skils and independence are sometimes required but above all courses that provide the necessary challenge for dog and handler.
